Music on the road!

What do I listen in the Jeep ?

The Avalanches – Wildflower (try Frankie Sinatra).
A$AP Rocky And sometimes Kendrick Lamar.
A lot of Alabama Shakes, some Amy Macdonald, some Ana Tijoux.
AWOLNATION, all of the albums are great.
Bronze Radio Return is a classic.

Bastille. I love Bastille.

Ben Howard when it's rainy, Beyoncé when I wear my $1400 pair of earphone, Bobby Bazini when I miss Quebec, Bon Over when I miss Atlin. Broods to wake up.  Carolina Chocolate Drops when I miss working for John Zogus. Charli XCX when I miss Panama City. CHVRCHES when I miss Marie-Eve, David Guetta when I miss my mom. Deep Forest when I want to turn my life into a movie. Empire of the Sun when I feel going back in in the 90s. Enya when there is fog on the horizon. Enrique Iglesias when I get babes in the Jeep. Flo Rida too. Flume when I think of Jessica. Gareth Emery when I want to remember myself of the Lexus LS460 AWD.

Grimes when I want my soul to be free ! Try Butterfly ! TOP DOWN AND GRIMES is the best thing. Better than sex, but that’s probably because I do sex wrong. Or Claire (Grimes singer) is a pure genius.

Grizfolk when I feel like being in the Yukon in my mind ! iamamiwhoami to get a sense of pure freedom. Infected Mushroom if I need to drive through Honduras at night. Inti Illimani when I miss Samuel & Salomé. Jamie XX when I think about the end of the world.  Jon Foreman, for rainy weather. Lenna Bahule, cause she is the greatest thing coming out of Brazil.

Lights – all of the album are great. Started the trip in Alaska with her (voice) in the Jeep. Lily Allen reminds me of not giving a fuck, same goes with Lissie. Little Daylight ! Little Daylight is a classic. Pop and glittering synth. Recommended. Lorde ? Nope. I don’t listen to lorde. Too sad.

I listen to Father John Misty and Leonard Cohen. With a proper headset, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith is amazing.

MIA when I need to just drive. Macklemore once in a while, when the sun’s out and I feel like dancing behind the wheel. Thanks for the inspiration, Mr Haggerty.

The Mowgli’s, whenever it is +35º outside. It’s the shit. Nana Mouskouri if I’m stuck in traffic. Turn up the volume and listen to it LOUD. Nicki Minaj cause life’s short. Nyaouly-In, if you need french polynesian tunes. I do, once in a while.

Olga Tanon & Wisin – Asi Es El Amor : Makes me want to dance, and be happy. Ottmar Liebert is the greatest musician ever. If there is one you have to check out, check him out. Pure genius. On repeat everyday. Just like Onetox. You need to listen to them. They’re from American Samoa. It is regggae, but next level. Purity Ring, if I miss Edmonton. I usually don’t, so I don’t listen to them most of the time.

Ryn Weaver is a great Scottish artist. Catchy pop tunes. Everybody loves. Shakira. Oh my does Shakira ever kills it. Check out Te Vaka from French Polynesia as well. Twenty One pilots is a most, so I have both albums and both get played once in a while. Yo-Yo Ma on the Goat Rodeo Session is the second great album on this list. Pure genius. I listen to it when I need to feel…to feel like a god. You need a solid sound system to enjoy them tho. Yosi Horikawa is everything you ever wanted but you didn’t know.

Young Galaxy.

Of course, I omitted Taylor Swift and Black Eyed Peas cause those are evident. Same goes with Ingvild Koksvik and Natalie Macmaster. I listen to Eminem, Dido, Steely Dan, Donny Hathaway, Xavier Rudd, GOJIRA and Napoleon too. Once in a while I’ll throw some Herbie Hancock and some Blink-182. Depends on the mood. Logic’s rapper flow is fantastic.  If you like CHVRCHES, try out The Naked and The Famous. Same but so different.

I couldn’t be in Colombia without listening to Luis Fonsi and Chino & Nacho.

Voila for now.
