If Plato was a camera, he would be a Nikon Df.

The internet was wrong.
The Nikon Df has received countless critiques…by people that never used it. (Which makes you wonder if it isn’t the work of some paid shills from Canon, Fuji or Sony)

The critique claimed that the Df has a poor autofocus system (same as the D610). It’s bullshit, of course. It is the same AF module, but who cares! It works brilliantly! If you know anything about photography and have common sense, you will be able to use it from sunrise to sunset, after well after it. No, you won’t have the focusing ability of the Nikon D5, but who the hell ever shoots in pitch dark a wall? Nobody ever. If you’re doing weddings, when it’s dark, this Df beats the X-Pro2 any time, no comparaison. The autofocus is incredibly fast, and works well in VERY dim lighting setup.

This camera has not pity for the newbie. It is for the best of us: in the hands of a poor soul, this camera would probably get thrown away. There’s no room for spray-and-pray. The Df requires agility of the mind. Which is why it is the most underrated camera on the market: People don’t know how to shoot anymore, because they don’t know why they shoot. They don’t know why cause they don’t think philosophically about their own demise and what’s this life is all about.

While the sheeps are insta-lusting their life with their iPhones and Pixel 3s, the artist among us retreat in the calm of the storm with a 50 one point eight and his Df.

That’s all he needs.
Less is more.

If Plato was a camera, he would be a Nikon Df. Certainly.

This camera is about photography as an art.

Nikon Df review 2019

This is the camera for people that know what they are doing.
This is the camera for artist that wants to art.
This is the camera that makes you standout in the crowd of DSLR users.
This is the camera that you take on an island.
This is the only camera you would ever need.

If you get the chance to find one, get it. I had the chance to own a lot of cameras: This one is the best.

Cheers,

JP
