I pre-ordered the 50mm f/1.0 Fuji
The only lens you’d ever need…
(after the 35mm f/1.4)
I was so stunned at the photo gallery made by Jonas that I had to pre-order that lens! I mean, what a lens for the price! The closest thing is… $10 000USD! And then the Leica 50mm f/0.95 is 10k. The Otus 55mm f/1.4 is $4000 USD. The 50mm f/1.0 at $1500 USD is a bargain. I cannot understand that people are complaining about it. The Canon 50mm f/1.0 USM is $4000 on ebay, and it is so much inferior in terms of optics.
The Fuij 35mm f/1.4 is my all-time favorite lens… ever! Yes, over the Otus 55mm or the 56mm f/1.2. Nothing is like it on the market. See my review here.
I’m on a waiting list for the 50mm f/1.0 at The Camera Store in Calgary… another 10 days and it should be available!
I always found the 85mm equivalent too close for a daily usage in a house. 75mm is the perfect focal length.
I cannot wait to review it!
